Clarissa Briasco-Stewart is a lighting designer, programmer, and theatrical electrician based in the DMV area who recently finished a year as the Electrics Fellow at Studio Theatre.

In college, they studied linguistics with coursework in computer science and spent most of their time in the theater. Their work uses light and time as media to create immersive live experiences with a focus on visual texture and integrated design.

Clarissa enjoys making vector art, investigating word etymology, playing video games, and talking to her siblings.

 

Recent lighting and electrician credits include Wipeout, Paradise Blue, The Scenarios, Downstate, Summer 1976, and Exception to the Rule at Studio Theatre, Dead Inside (Woolly Mammoth), Eastbound 2024 (Harvard Asian American Dance Troupe), HORIZON: The Bodies We Forget with Harvard TDM, Honeyhole (2023 Moonbox New Works Festival), Lynn Modell’s Interesting Women, Natasha, Pierre, & The Great Comet of 1812 (Harvard-Radcliffe Dramatic Club), and shows produced by HRG&SP, the Harvard Pops Orchestra, the Harvard Ballet Company, and others.
